The Most Reverend Jaime Soto, Bishop of the Diocese of Sacramento, installed 19 candidates into the ministries of lector and acolyte in a special Mass on Nov. 4, 2020. Due to strict COVID-19 safety protocols, the ceremony was restricted only to St. Patrick's staff, faculty, and seminarians.

Nicholas Castoldi of the Diocese of Spokane was among those installed to the minstry of acolyte, which is a significant step on the path toward ordination.
