Deacon Ray Ellingson died on Jan. 26 at the age of 70. He was ordained to the permanent diaconate in 2011 and served Sts. Charles and Helena Parish in Clio and St. Francis Xavier Parish in Otisville. He is survived by his wife, Brenda, sons David (Amber) Ellingson, Michael Ellingson and Scott (Teresa) Ellingson and grandchildren Annabelle, Jude and Bayleigh. A memorial Mass was celebrated on Feb. 1 at Sts. Charles and Helena Church.
