On Sept. 17, 2020, the Joliet Section of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre (EOHSJ) held the annual Bishop’s Mass and Dinner at the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus in Joliet. Bishop Richard E. Pates, who is a member of the Order, was celebrant and homilist.

This annual event is a thank you to the bishop for his service and leadership, and a time of fellowship for members. The EOHSJ is a lay institution of the Roman Catholic Church which is charged with providing for the needs of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem (the Holy Land diocese) in maintaining and supporting the work of the Church in the Holy Land, including the Catholic schools.
