Disabilities Mass Celebrated at St. Andrew in Saline

St. Andrew the Apostle in Saline hosted its first-ever Disabilities Mass on Oct. 3. An ASL interpreter, worship aids in large print and braille, headphones for hearing enhancement, a quiet room and extra ushers to assist persons with mobility needs were provided. Ushers and a color guard were provided by the Knights of Columbus.

Cathy Blatnik, Diocese of Lansing coordinator of special needs ministry, was the guest speaker at a luncheon that followed the Mass. If you have questions or would like information on how your parish can host a Disabilities Mass, please contact Cathy Blatnik at blatsie63@yahoo.com.
