Diocese of Lansing Observes National Vocation Awareness Week

Seventh-graders from the Diocese of Lansing Catholic schools participated in the Vocations Mass celebrated at St. Mary’s Cathedral on Oct. 26, prior to National Vocation Awareness Week, held Nov. 7-13.

Chair of the Department of Vocations and Director of Seminarians Father John Whitlock encouraged parishes to promote vocations by using resources available from the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and participating in programs and events hosted by the diocese. The week-long celebration is observed annually by the Church in the United States to promote vocations to the priesthood, diaconate and consecrated life through prayer and education.
