Catholic Women of Michigan Gather for Conference

More than 1,000 women from throughout Michigan gathered in Lansing on Oct. 16 for the first-ever Michigan Catholic Women’s Conference. It was a day “where women walked out the door feeling God's love,” according to Becky Loveland of the Conference Planning Committee. Featuring speakers Sheri Wohlfert, Kelly Wahlquist, Father Joe Krupp and Father Adam Maher, the day-long conference was designed to allow attendees to set aside their daily worries and concerns and renew their sense of being God’s beloved daughters. Opportunities to celebrate the sacrament of reconciliation or participate in eucharistic adoration were available throughout the day. Bishop Boyea and Bishop Robert Gruss of Saginaw presided at the concluding Mass.
