On March 18-20, 46 Hispanic young adults from the Diocese of Lansing and other dioceses from the region gathered at St. Francis Retreat Center in DeWitt to receive formation as parish leaders for the FEICA program (Fe, Espiritualidad, Integración, Comunicación and Apostolado, or Faith, Spirituality Integration, Communication and Apostolate). These five pillars constitute five committees for a leadership team. Each member of the team has specific tasks to do as they work on projects and programs for their parish, and they can also work together for different parish communities of the diocese to empower more young adults in the larger community. Bishop Boyea opened the retreat by celebrating Mass in Spanish.
