Mini-Grants for Promoting Catholic Social Teaching to Be Awarded by Diocese

The Diocese of Lansing Commission on Catholic Social Teaching recently accepted applications for mini-grants established to advance the understanding and practice of Catholic social teaching in the diocese. The grants will be awarded to parishes, schools and other institutions for presenting programs designed to address social concerns connected to some principles of Catholic social teaching, specifically the sanctity of human life, the dignity of the person, religious liberty, marriage and family, poverty, solidarity and care for creation. Grant recipients will be selected by the commission by the fall of 2022.

Bishop Boyea established the Diocesan Commission on Catholic Social Teaching in 2021 to assist him in his ministry to catechize all the baptized in the diocese on the principles of Catholic social teaching, advance the dignity of the human person and to promote the common good of society.
