St. Mary Student Parish at the University of Michigan will host its Fall Retreat “Search” for Undergraduates from Nov. 4–6. All undergrads are invited to this amazing opportunity to encounter God through incredible student talks, small groups, and prayer. It is designed for those who are asking deep questions and exploring their own senses of spirituality and faith. St. Joseph Parish, Dexter will host its Diamonds & Denim silent auction on Nov. 5 from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. at Lakelands Golf & Country Club in Brighton. You are invited to mingle with friends old and new in an elegant and enjoyable atmosphere. The food will be superb, the auction items fantastic, useful and just plain fun! The evening will be full of bidding (both silent and live), various games of chance and entertainment. Put on something fancy and something denim and join us for an elegant and fun evening!
On Saturday, Nov. 5, St. Andrew the Apostle in Saline will host a Forgiveness Retreat from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The Christian journey is easier without baggage, so lighten your load! From Nov. 10-12, St. Patrick Church in Brighton will host its three- day women’s retreat, Undone: Freedom for the Feminine Heart. Do you desire to dive deeper into the freedom that you were created for? During this three-day retreat, held in parish communities around the US, you will be immersed in truth and transformation as the knots of Eve, in us, are undone by Mary’s example of radical receptivity. Through a series of talks, teachings, and prayer experiences, you will be invited to become Undone in God’s presence while deeply receiving the truth of your authentic feminine identity. The weekend includes adoration, time for prayer, worship, small group discussion, interactive and guided meditations, and much more. The Holiday Bazaar at St. Anthony Church - Hillsdale will be held in the church hall on Saturday, Nov. 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. St. Agnes Church in Fowlerville is planning its next scheduled Firekeepers Casino Bus Trip & Breakfast on Thursday, Nov. 17. The parish will serve breakfast at 9:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Church, 855 E Grand River Avenue, Fowlerville, in the Lothamer Parish Center prior to leaving Thursday morning. An Indian Trails chartered bus will leave the St. Agnes Church parking lot at 10:00 a.m., with an anticipated arrival time back in Fowlerville at 5:30 p.m.. The cost is $50 and includes round-trip bus transportation, $25 in free slot play, and $5 to use toward dining, slot play or gift shop purchases. Returning guests who bring their Red Hot Rewards Club card will get credits and points added to their existing cards. Guests need to bring a valid ID to receive the group package.
