Father Patrick Hartin marks 50 years a Priest

Aug. 15, 2021, marked a significant day for the community at Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Spokane. We were blessed to witness and celebrate the 50th anniversary of thanksgiving with Father Patrick Hartin.

Father Hartin was born and raised in the Diocese of Johannesburg, South Africa, where he was ordained a priest. He served within that diocese for many years, later making his way to Spokane to become a professor at Gonzaga University. Since arriving here, he has blessed many lives with his storytelling, teaching, and gentle ways.

On Saturday, Aug. 14, community members enjoyed a wonderful barbecue put on by Our Lady of Fatima Knights of Columbus Council 10534.

Bishop Thomas Daly and countless friends, family members, fellow priests, co-workers and students were able to celebrate with Father Hartin either in person or through virtual recording.

God bless you, Father Hartin!
