Beginning in July, Cristo Rey Community Center will welcome Sister Marie Paul Lockerd, RSM DO and Sister Mary Nika Schaumber, RSM to its medical team at the health clinic.

This collaboration between the Religious Sisters of Mercy of Alma and the Cristo Rey Community Center has developed from Bishop Boyea reaching out to Mother Mary McGreevy, RSM, the superior general of the RSMs in Alma, to support the bishop’s desire to have affordable Catholic health care available in Lansing, and Cristo Rey CEO Joe Garcia’s desire to expand the professional medical capacity of the health clinic to serve more low-income children, families and individuals, as Jesus calls us to do in Matthew 25.
