Spiritual Fitness

Jesus asks us to lift one another's burdens during this Jubilee Year.
     The spirit of the Lord is upon us, for he has anointed us to bring glad tidings to the poor, to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind; to set at liberty those who are oppressed and announce a year of favor from the Lord. (Luke 4:18-19)
     We are living in a "me" society, where the rich get richer and poor get poorer. As disciples of Jesus, we are called to change that. How? 

Stand for the poor.
Encourage one another as Christ has encouraged you.
Reach out to the homebound and ill.
Voice your concerns when you see injustice.
Enrich your life with Jesus Christ, through daily prayer, Scripture reading, Mass and the sacraments.

Give to those in need.
Open your hearts to those around you. 
Die to self.
